Checking in

I haven’t checked my lovely blog in a while now (probably a few days… i dunno). I have been insanely busy with homework. I have a collection (no sewing only designing) to finish until tuesday. I have to bodices to sew and a gazillion patterns to make. I was supposed to write about my vegas trip. I’m going to give you an example of what my design class has been like so you can understand why I did not even log in. First I did some quick sketches for the collection (my inspiration is Australia), my darling instructor told me they were too “trendy”, “too now”. I had to change them, I probably designed about 50 more garments when she said she’d seen them before, it was a bit disappointing but never the less I went back to work. I came up with 7-8 garments that I loved. Again “oh my darling flore my darling” told me they were “too pretty” “too feminine”, then she said they looked like “old Valentino” (bare in mind I would give my right arm for an old Valentino gown. I get it she doesn’t like dresses. She wants us to be avant-garde. She think everyone want to be couture designers. Anyways it was weird getting the best compliment you ever received and feeling like shit. By the way I still like my instructor a lot. She is just great.

Other than that I am obsessed with Gossip Girl and I’m planning on writing a review on the fashion on the show and its effects on the youth and the fashion business. I feel like I need to write more about fashion.

Meh.. Lets see.
